Boat is running better then last year , with the addition of a new gear ratio. Looking to upgrade to a procharger and B1 this year.. Last year we were running in the high high 70's on gps, no gps this year but it is still spinning the 30 bravo prop to the stutter box, so had to pick up mph... Not all out but into the stick.. Starts walking in the uper 60's

John,

How is your Stinger set up? What power, drive ratio, weight, etc.? Mine is going in the water soon (but the drive needs to be broken in before I beat on it) and I'm wondering what to expect. Mine is a 222.

Specs:

383 SBC
9.6:1
Ported Bowtie heads with 2.08 intake/1.65 exhaust valves
Comp Xtreme XR282H roller
World "Dart" dual plane intake w/Holley 750
GLM aluminum exhaust (looking for better risers eventually)

Merc Alpha 1 Gen 1 w/ 1.47 gears and a 25 pitch Mirage Plus prop to start.

Calculations say somewhere in the upper 70's to low 80's (I'm guestimating that it's pushing close to 500 HP through this exhaust... it made 537 HP with dyno headers).

I've seen the other videos on YouTube and she sounds great!

Thanks!

It is running a 1996 sbc fuel injected, with a ASM retune. A 30p Bravo 4 blade, threw a stock alpha with 1.82'or 84's gears. Have emi thunder exhaust.. The motor is stock 330 hp, but even with the numbers we came up with, it is making well over that 350 plus. People have told us it isn't making that power, but acording to the numbers it is.. You should have a 70mph rig, if you don't explode the drive...
