Well I have to say after this weekend I am TOTALLY DONE BOATING ON THE CHAIN!!! Way too many freaking stupid/rude people.
I swear I was about 5 feet from running two kids over.. I never even saw them.. There was no boat around.. The person that was towing the kids was 200 -250 yards away.. I didnt even see it coming....
I was sober, only 3 other people on my boat.. Not screwing around nothing..
You have all these dumb drunks tubbing, jetskis, etc... I was so F*CKING scared after that miss I went right back to BK and put the boat away.
I lost my brother a year and a half ago and after not seeing these kids and almost hitting them just totally hit home and I was in a state of shock. I couldnt even speak.
Just sooo bad man soo bad.. I freaked out..

My wife and I are in the same situation as you. Our little 22' is forsale and we are buying something bigger to head out on lake michigan. The level of stoopid seems to have reached an all time high this summer out there.
We were within 2 ft of having our boat run over by some idiot (Note, it is BRIGHT RED, so hard to not see it). I said that is enough, its just not worth it anymore.
Back to the classified to find my next toy.

I wish I could swing that, but probably a bit over our upgrade budget. The one we saw at GSC while looking at other boats sure was great looking though.
We are looking for something 28' to 32' with twins to get our feet wet initially.

I hate to harp on you just like your last thread, but why aren't you on Lake Michigan again?
Everything you complain about is a nonfactor there.
I've been on the chain once, and it wasn't anything special. I really didn't like the shallow water anyway. Prob won't be heading back.

Im not a huge fan of the BIG lake. My parents have a 55 footer and being on that thing and seeing the storms that come in are nuts.
I've just not really been that exicted to go boating anymore.
So Im gonna sell it.
I will maybe purchase a new boat later on but now I just have no time.
I just got married and now all my friends are getting married.
Plus were thinking about having kids soon and boating just isnt the smartest thing to do right now.

Koz,
Send me an email g12314<at>gmail.com regarding the boat. I can email you back my contact info. Cant promise anything, but figure it is at least worth investigating to see if the wife will approve something bigger.

If the reason you're selling it is that you have no time, I think that's valid.
The fact that you're not having any fun on the chain in a big-a$$ Donz isn't shocking.
Why don't you come for a run with us from East Chicago to the Playpen at least ONCE before you dump it? I'm sure Obnuxus, BZ, Mild Thunder, sommerfliesby and the boys would love to get involved in a little run up there. Stretch that thing's legs.
