Hey guys, just found out from my machine shop that a motor I'm rebuilding has cracked heads. I'm looing for a nice pair of 990 Rectangular port heads for a Mark IV engine that will be stroked to 496 CID. Just need the bare castings, but a complete set will be fine.

Personelly I would fly with a set of Dart iron eagles. Look in the swap forum for this.

1987 Chris Craft 415 Stinger They are used heads I one set is in good working order but if it was me I would freshin up. I bought dart pro 1's for both sides. When i took the other side off one exhaust valve had a small hole. I will try to get pics I am working to many hours at work these days.. Call me for any more questions

Thanks Dan. If it was my motor I would go with the Darts also, but its not. I'm rebuilding this motor for my friend and he won't spend the money... but I totally agree.

sorry the heads I have are 088 but I did find a set that have new guides valve job and new valves let me know if your interested

I sent out 2 sets of 990s to get cleaned and maged will know the answer next week . Didnt want to sell junk on this site. also have alm. intakes and cranks, carbs and cam from a merc 420 hp

That sounds perfect. Would be interested in the heads/intakes/carbs.
Let me know what you find out from your engine builder in terms of the heads.
