I have a new Gen IV distributor that I want to use in a 540
Does anyone know if this distributor has a rev limiter ?

There is no rev limiter in any distributor. Rev limiters are built into the ECM or ignition module. If its a points style though, I would not use it. OLD technology, not as reliable and may not be able to provide enough fire.

Also, if you mean its a Thunderbolt IV Distributor, there is no rev limiter. You may have to experiment with different Ignition Modules to get the right timing advance curve.
