I was watching the Marathon offshore race from 87 and 88 and they mention in both telecasts that MGM was making a move about offshore races/drug dealers. In 87 they had their own boats out there with about 8 cameras and in 88 they had 10 cameras and interviewed the director. He said the movie would be out in summer of 89...

Does anyone know what ever happened to this movie? Was it released?
