I am surprised nobody has done something like this before, or maybe they have and I just missed it. Seems like a great idea. Hope to see it at more poker runs.

For your sake I hope whoever operates the boat has a six-pack charter license at the minimum to satisfy the USCG and the potential liability.

John Arruda (Turbine Marine) started out doing this some years ago. He invented "Rent-an-Apache".

This could be a trend. For a guy that runs 3-4 times a year- on alot of these boats, that fee barely covers the depreciation on the boats, let alone the mechancal upkeep , storage, truck, etc. Someone else, spreading it out over a season, could make a decent buck.

Downside- it's like showing up at you're 20th high-school reunion with a Ferrari that has "Enterprise Rent-a-Car" on the side.

Just to answer the idea about the rent-a-boat sign !There will be NO rent-a boat signs on the boat !We are offering the performance boat charter plan to assist someone who has no boat or for someone to try the poker-run game !!This will be a great chance to use the professional team @ Xtremepowerboats to take care of ALL the transportation ,set up ,reservations etc.. !We will basically offer the customer a first class experience with no hassles !We hope to create a new customer or just the chance to open everyones
eyes to a great experience .
