Slipped away from work for a few hours to take in some drag racing this afternoon which included a chance to stand right between the cars as they launched. Between the burnout, fumes & percussion of the pounding exhaust I thought I was going to end up suffocating, blind & or deaf. What an experience!

national events a killer experience. Its something everyone should see.

I cant do it all the time though.

NHRA has gotten too far away from what drag racing should be IMHO.

Your average Joe cant relate to it.

I have raced almost every other weekend since 1987 so I am a drag race fan, but I like the nostalgia and outlaw type stuff better than the NHRA events.
