Default Looking for a factory test sheet on a 42L w/ 850sci's

Does anyone have or have access to a factory test sheet on a 2007 42 Lightning with Mercury 850sci's. I am curious to the setup they are running, speeds / feeds.

Theirs a 42/850 boat in the OSO classified for sale, if you contact him he may fax you a copy of his performance report. Hes got a picture of his gps at 120 mph. Those 700's not fast enough?

Oh come on if your going from 700 to 850, might as well take the plunge 1075's BABY

In all seriousness
42 Fountain 700's = 105
850's = 120
1075's = 130+

you may get more running NXT, #6 drives take more HP to spin.

I was under the impression that the nxt drive did not work well with the Fountain hull

TX aren't you running whipples on your 700s? If so do you know what you gained as far as HP?

Correct with the NXT's. Mine is the 42 Reggie is driving on the Fountain website 42L video - white with silver graphic's. It has factory 700sci's and #6 outdrives. - 109mph gps verified. I think it was one of the first 700 boats if not the first. All my dimension's are odd-ball numbers (x-dim, prop size, etc), so they must have dialed it in when it was built, which is why I am interested in the 850 sheet. Curious about how they are set up comared to mine.

Default 42 850 Boat

If you are referring to the 2007 that is at Lake Cumberland with custom paint, we sold that boat new. It has had three owners and the motors need to be gone thru. The boat ran 122MPH with two people and 100 gallons of fuel. Ran 118 everyday.

We still have performance report. You cannot bolt up 850's to the NXT, to much HP.

I would think with the whipple package that you would be close to the 850 hp range ( I think I read 820 somewhere)....what kind of rpms are you seeing?.....I have the same drive package that you do....I thought baja will was referring to the nxt outdrive when he said it would be easier to turn
