Default Is there really such a thing as "marine vinyl"?

I am having my sun pad and rear seat redone. I went to one guy and he said $1300.00, but if I shopped around to make sure I only get marine vinyl. I heard before that there is no such thing. Is this true?

Yes there is a difference. The standard upholstery don’t have the UV protection nor the mildew resistance as the marine grade. They also seem to be allot tougher.
