River Shiver - Joe Cardella, Jr. Fundraiser
#1
Joe Cardella recently experienced the sudden loss of his son, Joe, Jr. His death has caused him and his family a tremendous amount of pain. He has also incurred a staggering financial burden, as his son had recently moved in with him, and had no medical insurance. The LifeFlight helicopter transportation alone was over $10,000.
Joe has been forced to sell his assets, including his boat, in order to pay all of the bills surrounding and including his son's death.
While I will personally be unable to attend, I have decided to make a donation to Joe and his family to help them in this time of need.
It's important that we set aside all of the politics involved, and use this event to show our support.
Please join me in this effort.

I myself just heard of this too while speaking to Bill at Ateco. What a terrible tragedy Joe just experienced. Now is the time for everyone to take a step forward and make this a priority to help a fellow boater and friend, when he's in need of our help and support.
We're very sorry to hear of Joe's loss.

Mark ! you make no mention as to where to send a small gift $$$ please advise , as I bought Joe's 271 some year's ago and met down at the Shoot Out this year and He never said word one about his Son's passing , I'am sure we all could come up with a little something as a Group or individually .

I have replayed to the other thread but felt the need to post here also.
Thank you Mark for your comments. You are correct. The loss of any loved one can be painful. Having your 16 year old son taken from you in a horrific ATV accident life changing. It is a difficult time for Joe emotionally and financially. It is my hope in his time of need, the boating community can come together and help a fellow boater, friend, and father.
I am uncertian when a pay pal account will be set up. Once one is set up, I will post the info here and on the NIOC site.
In the meantime, contributions are being accepted through the NIOC P.O. Box. Checks can be made out to Joe Cardella and mailed to:
In Memory of Joe Jr.
Care Of NIOC
P.O. Box 634
Lake Villa, IL 60046
Thanks Again
