This could be a great thread. I want to put A/C in my '80 30'.
I've seen units on Ebay for 800-1200 new. It seems like a pretty straight forward project but it sure would be great to hear from someone who has done it.
I have no cabin yet so it will probably be easier for me

Unit is mounted under V-berth, pump is mounted in bilge and the pickup is mounted in the stepped part of the hull above the drain right behind the pad. I will try to get some pics for you in the next couple of days.

I put AC/HEAT in my 260 in may it is great I will try to take some pics of pump placement and thru hull fittings for anyone interested the only thing that you should be careful of that I know of is making sure your raw water pump can handle the high speeds I have already burnt up the one that came with my AC kit from the water forcing into the pump to hard it messed up the bushings my pump is one of the magnetic drive pumps.

I also used a honda eu2000 generator to power AC it isone of the little suitecase style generators I modified the exhaust to make it water cooled I will also post some pics of that setup as well
