Default Southeren States and West Coast dont play this

Well summer has come to an end in Michigan

We are having an unusual warm weekend so i finished up all the winter jobs around the yard

I thought it would be fun to show you guys down south and out west what we have to do to get ready for winter

Thank your lucky stars you dont have to do this

1) before

2) Get the lift out

3) get the bubblers out

What is the bubbler uses for? Does the ice mess up your pier?

YEA Belive it or not the pilings would rise up and move one way or another Ice messes up things big time here

I have seen docks rise over a foot or more in one winter and lean to the side looks like a mess in a few short years

My pilings are deep and would take alot to mess up,
but the cost of repairing or replacing a piling is around 5 to 7 hundred per piling not to mention the dock itself if that gets messed up (and it would)

The bubblers take warmer water from below and push it to the top. Seems strange but it works very well and I have had the dock stay open in 10 below zero wether

Have you ever had to board your house up and wonder if it will be there when you come back? winters not so bad if you have a big shop.
