Default Spinnelli props

The dealer that sold me my Sunsation says he has a prop that works well with the boat, it came with a 26 ( i think) mirage plus, and he has a 26 spinelli 4 blade that he says works realy well. does anyon have experence with spinneli, and if so are they quality props? also does any one use this paticular prop? I also have a rev 4 21 pitch that was used once, no knicks or anything. I put it on my old boat right at the end of the season, then i decided to the boat. so how much should i be able to get for it? i can`t remeber but it was around 650 new.

thanks
Jason

Spinelli's are amoung the best props out there. They would only build a few props each year. The props were usually custom built for a specific application. Verrrry expesive. The problem is that the prop will not be specific to your application. It may work, but it won't be perfect.

BTW-has Spinelli closed shop?

NVRENOUGH - I have a Spinelli 27" four blade on my boat and it is excellent. Less bow lift than a Bravo and hooks up out of the hole WAY better than a Hydromotive. Top end equal to the Hydro (2 MPH faster than the Bravo). Unfortunately, as Cord says they have retired and closed their shop with no apparent succesor. Try it, you may like it. In general it should give you better handling in the rough stuff with about the same top end. Of course every boat responds differently so YMMV. Make sure your dealer will let you give it back if you don't like it.

I think read in Hot Boat or powerboat Mag that Spinelli is retiring and the business will shut down very soon.

Spinnelli has shut down - The Cougar boats guy here in town bought a s-load of his remaining stock, about 75 to 100, all complete but un polished, mostly outboard he said. The ones that I saw (about half of the total) seemed to be a cleaver design......Doug
