Mom's '00-01 A6 Bi-Turbo is acting up again. I can't let her take it to Prestige since she's spent more money there than the car is worth. The thing only has 50k miles and it's been nothing but a lemon.
We need a decent hookup. Thanks.

Trade the car, the 2.7 twin turbo was a dud from day one. I had a 2000 and a 2001 and Audi took both cars back (lemon law buy back). The motor has a history of oil leaks they can't seem to fix. The new A4 is out as a new model for 09, have your mom buy one to replace the A6.

Yeh now that I just saw it was the A6 2.7tt, that car was so unreliable. I had two friends in the "Audi" scene with A6 2.6tts and both were POS, just constantly in the shop. And another friend that had a 2.7TT S4 and same thing, nothing but problems.

I live real close to the new Champion Audi dealer but I don't know anybody there. I just want a diagnostic scan to begin with and see what codes it's throwing. The Check Engine light is on, but the dash display doesn't work so great.
It sounds like it might be missing 1 or 2 cylinders but I thnk the real problem is the trans. It's got a bad vibration and when coming to a stop it downshifts into 1st really hard, like bangs into gear.
I just want it fixed enough to see what Carmax will give for it.
