What happend with this? Where is it now? Better pics anyone?
It was built in '86 for Michel Meynard and was for sale in the States a couple of years ago.
It is 17.40m long powered by two Avco/Lycoming turbines 1865kW each.
One don't have to like its looks but its top speed of 112kn is impressive even by todays standards, I think.

From: MIAMI, FL
I was the original project engineer on the job. James Beard did most of the hull, and Chris Hodges did the superstructure. It was engineered by SP Systems in England (Aircraft types) It had TF35 Lycomings on ASD16 Arnesons. Bobby Idoni and Smitty worked on it for years and years. It had little docking motors that hid behind the transom when you were hauling azz. Sunroof disappeared into the structure. Remember that this was the followup boat to the famous "Catman".

Thank you for the info 7xChamp and Brownie. It always amazes me in how many interesting projects you were involved throughout your careers (that doesn't mean you are old men
). Please do write your biographies!!
For the Pegasus I read it was completed by a company called Commercial Marine Recources in Miami. It was said that more than 3000000$ was invested then. The boat was for sale in Miami in '98 (?) for 700k.
Someone has to have better pics of it, please post them.

Are you sure it was completed? I saw it in the mid 90's with Bobby and it was no where near done, and he was closing down the project. I may be wrong but those pictures look like shots taken before it was rigged or shipped to the U.S. Maybe it came over in one of those "float on" ships?
