Don't do it!!! I have an 08 F-450 and it is the worst truck I have ever owned. Has left me stranded on the side of the road with trailer numerous time. Ford customer service could care less. I will never buy another Ford product again. No offense Mc Raymond, my dealer has been good and I'm sure you are to,but the manufacturer who made this pile of sh#t could care less about taking care of the customer. Spend a little more and get a hauler (International,sterling etc.) Just my .02

That was my experience with Ford also. Once I started to take the truck to a local guy all the problems stopped and the truck has been good ever since. All the car manufacturers are on par as far as quality but the way that they handle the customers is what seperates the American made vs. the euro's and jap. cars.

My '08 Ford is the best vehicle I've owned! Have a couple of friends that have em too. Great vehicle.

My '05 was trouble free too, and the 6.0 in those were supposed to be "terrible" engines. Mine never missed a beat.

My 2008 f-450 has been great to me 20k miles. but i have heard of some bad storries with them.

I have had a great experience with the 2008 f450. I tow my 47 Fountain with it and have had no trouble at all. Drove it all winter through the snow with no trouble either. In my climate those haulers are worthless half the year.

I'm glad you guys have had better luck than I have. I do think you guys may be the exception. I have been doing some reading on " The diesiel stop" forum and quite a few have had a similar experience to mine. Third radiator and numerous egr coolers, loose exhaust system, etc. etc.

Ford recalled the radiator. Chuck, I have a New 08 F450 white King Ranch, loaded 4x4 that I will trade you out of your truck if interested. It list for almost 62k and I can sell it for just over 47k, if the rebates are the same in your area.

Got a few 08's in the fam, and no problems. And a friend with an 450 with no probs. We did DPF delete and tune on all, trucks ran better then stock. Stock tune sucks and doing a lot of driving in city/stop and go was causing issues with regen and sh!t for mileage. Stupid emissions crap. Had quite a few 6.0s as well and never had trouble and all were modded as well. Only time we've had trouble with some of the trucks is when they were stock even on the 6.0. I was impressed by my friends 08' 450, I was expecting it to drive and ride like a rock, it was quite comfy, drove like a bigger 350.
