Default Alternative diesel fuels

Recenty my neighbor had a customer of his come to his shop(auto repair) and ask him to save all his old trans fluid. Seems he is going to start running it in his truck as a fuel. He is going to mix it with diesel in almost a 50/50 mix. Anyone else done this or something similar? Supposedly the guy knows someone who has been doing it for over 10 years in a dodge with no issues at all.

I know a guy running anything oil, but it is in a 97 F350 with the 7.3.... He has run tranny fluid in it as well. He doesn't mix either. He mounted a big tank in the bed to run his reclaimed stuff. When he runs this alternative fuel he has to change the fillters a little more often. Not sure..but I don't think the newer trucks like any of it much... well except for the processed bio. I have been told the older motors will run on anything.

I've heard of people adding a touch of oil to the fuel to help with lubricity, but not 50/50. Maybe a cup per tank or something.

On the one I was talking about..when he is running straight tanny is smokes some at idle but does not when driving. Still I wouldn't try it in my new truck.

No way would I run that in my 06 Dodge 3500. Dat sh1t will kill a common-rail. The best thing to run is straight veggie oil from restaurants but you have to have your fuel system set up for it.

From what I have read at a 50/50 mix there is no smoke. I have a 7.3 and am really thinking hard at running it on a mix. I am also a little leary of running this, but from what I hear there will be little danger in hurting anything.
