I am looking to buy 1980 excalibur27. What kind of speeds do these boats run? Are there other single engine 27ft boats that are faster? (V-hull design) STOCK BOATS not after market parts.

my 85 27 ran 74.9 1 time with a 502 mag mpi with a 500 hp cam was around 470 hp with a 26 bravo at 5000 rpm but it ran 72 73 most of the time at that speed it is stable. the older activators are the same hull i had a step bottom outboard with twin 200 offshores it ran 75 they both like the water rough the actvator will run anywhere you want and its stable hope that helps

I sell you my 32 foot AERO-Tek ( copy of a excalibur ), with a single 700 HP and speedmaster . Runs 90. on pump gas.
Boat is like new ,since everything is rebuilt ( every square inch on the boat).

Cheap with trailer.
