Default Anybody know anyone that went to MMI School?

Im thinking of going to Marine Mechanics Institute in Orland, FL. I would like to talk to somebody that went.
Im trying to find out more info about the school.
I was just layed off from my job of 14 years. Figured maybe its time for a career change.
I know alot about boats already so not sure how much I can learn there.
Thanks

Your right. Thats what scares me.
Whats the boating economy going to be like in 2 years?
I just figured since I was not working, have no kids, I would go to school for something I like to work on.
MMI wants a good dollar though, 25k for just over a year of school. I don't think you get certified either just a certificate.

I nice young man came by the other day,an MMI graduate. He had just lost his job at a local marina, they closed their shop. We had no openings, but I refered him to another local marina. They hired him on the spot, based on his MMi grades. Hey,the market is down now,but it will come back. There will always be boats and boating, and someone has to work on them. Go for it.
