420OS in Classifieds

Well since I sold my 36, which now I'm having regrets. I'm looking at whats out there. Can anyone give me some info on the 420 model. Looks to be a good priced one on the site. Speeds, ride ect. And the 40OL. I like the 01 listed with the 575's and it looks like it might be a poker run lay up. I was wondering the speed on that as well. I'll be waiting for the reponses. Thanks Scott

Sorry you regret selling the 36. I'm sure I would be the same way. One of my favorite boats is the 420. They are a proven classic and overkill in construction that will be around a long time. There was one here on Lake Norman for a while that I really liked and then I have seen several down in Texas. They are BIG, they ride GREAT, they are HEAVY and it takes a TON of HP to make them go. Most with triple power only run in the low 70's from what I have been told but they will run it in any water conditions and crush the waves.
I'm one of those rare folks that really likes radar arches and many have one which is another thing I really like.
I have seen some really nice deals on them and personally I would love to own one. Just make sure you have enough truck to pull it.
Happy shopping

Dock, thanks for the reply. After seeing the pics of your Baja I was blown away. I pulled our 36 with a PowerStroke F350 but I guess I would need at least a duelly to be safe. THe one listed looks like a nice piece. Not exactly my style but the right price. Thanks again

Sorry but I would not want to tow a 420 with my F350 dually. I think on a trailer with fuel you are around 16K to 17K lbs.
