I am trying to replace my old gaffrig liquid speedo gauge. It works fine but it is just faded. All i want to do its change the gauge. I am not sure which gauge would be compatible with this current kit. Can i use a dry livorsi speedometer with this? I am not sure if the guage is gaffrig by gaffrig or gaffrig by lovorsi. Would that make a diffrence
Thanks

You came to the right place. Its a Livorsi gauge that use to be Gaffrig by Livorsi.
I can get you the gauge less the Livorsi logo.
You emailed me the picture and I sent it to Livorsi to confirm the answer to your questions.
Will have answers Monday.
Have a nice weekend.

Wish I asked this question about a month ago.
Just added water pressure gauges to my powerplay, was able to get the Graffrig gauges to match but they have red needles insted of black needles like the rest of the gauges. Well I guess I'll print this thread and but in the powerplay file so if I have to do any other gauge work I'll know who to call

Unfortunately there is a reason CP Performance and others dropped "Gaffrig" from their product offerings. Support has dropped off, Gaffrig decided to compete agaist his dealers/distributors and there became more quality issues than in the past.
Not slamming anyone, just putting out the issues we experienced. Nobody makes a perfect product, but how you deal with the issues is very important. Mike is a nice person, but when he decided to take over Trick Marines site and sell product direct he made a very poor business decision.

About the competing against dist. all i can say is that all of the destr. ruined that there selfs.
They had a good relasionship up to when some of them started to trop the marketing for him and tought its best to let it die out. Although they still whanted better prices then every body else.
And ,,,you know ,,,its how someone treads a party he will get treadet back. Thats all i can say.
And you know as well as i do, that the Gaffrig gauges or controlls or whatever is the real product.
Who do you think showed Mike L how to built a gauge and all he did is used that know how and tried to copy Gaffrig even using theyr name and puting cheap insides in to the frame.
Show me one control ,exept the old Kiekhaefer or Merc that is not designed by gaffrig.
Also if dealers give prices below there own price,do you think thats good?
Whatever, thats just my opinion.
I stand 1000% behind Gaffrig and Mike S.
SO MAY THE BEST GAUGE SELL. LOL

First Mike Shultz or Gaffrig Performance is a great guy. Secondly we quit inventorying his product line when we faced quality problems and delivery problems in the past. The problem is that when they(Gaffrig) had a faulty product (which everyone does on ocassion) they often didn't have enough inventory to send a replacement part. Because all of their product is imported there were often delays exceeding 60 days. We would have a customer purchase a full set of gauges less possibly one or two we were out of and the delivery from them was excessive and upsetting customers and tarnishing our reputation. We are the largest marine performance products distributor in the industry and when you, our customer want your parts we want to deliver...PERIOD!!!!.
From Our stand point Mike (Gaffrig Performance) sold competing products long before he took over the "Trick Marine" website. so the website really doesn't play into our decision at all. We still sell and represent Gaffrig gauges we just don't have all of our egg's in that one basket for the reasons disclosed above.
For the Facts Jim Gaffrig himself pioneered the original liquid filled speedometer and Mike Livorsi Licensed that from Jim Gaffrig himself. At the same time Mike Shultz got the rights to the exhaust/muffler line. Mike Livorsi pioneered the entire gauge program and Mike Shultz bought gauges from him until a falling out between the two happened. Mike Livorsi sold throttles (A similar Version to Kiekhaefer) years before Mike Shultz did. What Mike Shultz did do was design his own version in aluminum off of the original Livorsi control.
As for who showed Mike Livorsi how to build a gauge? That was Autometer as he was their sole distributor for years as they originally built his gauges. Today Livorsi marine has pioneered the next evolution in marine gauges with their "Deutch Connections". Livorsi today builds all of their Race series and Monster series gauges in house and all of their gauges are proudly "Made in America"

For the record let me clear the air on why we sell what we sell and maybe clear the air on a few industry facts.
