I plan on increasing the hp, but for now I am looking for a 2-3 mph gain. I think its cheaper to drop in new mercruiser 383 small blocks( i think 380hp) which would cost less than new whipple sc's(after all the extra work involved)....and have brand new engines to boot. then sell off both 350 w/196 hrs on them to someone in need......it looks good on paper anyway!

I have the 383 mag in my Donzi X-18. It is a very nice package. It makes 350 hp.

I would do the whipple. If you get 2-3 mph you will want more.

I second keeping what you have and throw whipples on along with a good ehxaust, 196 hrs. really isnt much and going from the 350's to 383's will cost more and net you alot less. Steve
