these 502 mag mpi that i have came with aluminum exhaust manifolds. i was told they were gill but they have mercruiser cast into the side. the outlet is not on center like the iron ones. the pictures of the new gills on line look subtly different.
did gill make some back in 2000 that would have had mercruiser cast on them ?

Yes they did. I removed the coating and had mine powdercoated to match a few other things in the boat.

thanks... that helps a lot. now.... is there anyone in the minnesota or surrounding areas that has one of these kicking around... it can be junk... that is willing to lend it to me so that my fabricator guy in minnesota can use it to make a jig. ill pay the shipping both ways , of course. it is simply not possible for me to ship him one of mine from where i am.

Yep, Gil made them for several Merc engines. My 525SC had the Merc/Gil exhaust and carbed 500HP's had them.

Nope, they went in the trash several years ago. More than likely somebody will have junk one laying around.
