I believe to get the best performance out of this set up you need to run a crash box. Has anyone run it with a trans? How is performance affected?

Dave, Dan broke a tranny just before Xmas and had them both rebuilt by Bam. He has put on about 15 hrs since then without further trouble.
We will have to see if they hold up or not.
