Default Miami, Homestead, Key West

Looking for some opinions and help from people who may know the area. I'm heading down to Daytona Beach for Bike Week (first week of March) but we wanted to hit Key West for a couple of days first. We were thinking about trailering down to Miami or Homestead, dropping the bike and riding to Key West. Does anyone know of a safe place to park a truck and trailer where it could stay for a day or two? Any suggestions for places to stop heading down to Key West, or a good place to stay in Key West. I've only flown into Key West, never driven.

Are there any runs going on February 28th, March 1st or 2nd down that way?

FYI, driving from New York.

Thanks in advance for any insight that can be given.

I used to do the Peterson Run every year. It's a long ride, but there are quite a few cool watering holes.
