How do you find out who hold the lien against a boat? and if there is multiple liens against a boat and who all of them are?

county court records for like mechanics liens and DMV for like loans against it

UCC 11 search and cost guard abstract for bank liens.

I have friend who works for the IRS...She has since moved away but when I needed help once, she gave me information about the boat I had no idea they would even know, including owners previous and current addresses, phone numbers, lien holders on the boat, although there were no current liens on it, a bunch more info I could ever want or need.

In IL, you can send in an information request form along with 4 bucks and they will send you information on the HIN, but I have never done it and I dont know to what degree of info you will get...

??? Where do I get this info.. Do I need the Hull Number or does the persons Name and address be good enough.

I was trying to find out how many liens are on this other boat.. I know the guy is upside down in it... But I think it may be worse then he is leading on about!!

You would be surprised what the DMV will fess up for a few dollars
