Noticed a month ago little drips in the fron of the vehicle, crwled under it and sure enough the coolant lines are leaking. ( 80,000 miles) Made an appt with local GMC to see what repairs would cost, well that went south quickly. GMC acknowledges they have a problem, but has not recalled them yet..... said the service writer.
Guess ill wait for the stimulus plan to kick in to get it fixed....not really. Let me know who else is having problems with this. Waiting for warm weather !

Thought there was warranty also, guess they consider hoses the same as tires... its a "maintenance" issue thus far. The tranny would be covered but not the peripheries, seems like the tranny wouldn't run without them !

Another thing to watch for is your transfer case. There is an issue where where the transfer case wears through and you don't know it until its too late, I think they call it 'pump rub'. There is a company making a part that fixes the issue. I'll try to find the link. Just do a google for Dmax Transfer case issues or something of the like.

If its in the front of the vehicle most likely not 'pump rub', but just something else to be aware of. There is a fix for it if you find it before the case wears through, I can't remember who makes it tho and haven't found it yet.
Here is one I found, but I thought there was a guy machining a part that fixed it, haven't found that one yet.

I have leaky lines as well, dealer told me that if I pay to have new ones, I will get the same $hitty hoses. Only leaks in the cold weather. The Allison tranny is still covered under warranty ... can't believe GM would allow the leaky hoses to not be fixed because ultimately it may cause the tranny to go which is still covered under the powertrain warranty.
