Retrofitting a carbed 502 to MPI system
#1
Has anyone ever done it? It sounds like a decent winter project for me, and I'm looking for anyone who has tackled it. I've owned a boat with MPI's in it before and I miss how well they run. Current boats carbs are getting old. I thought I would do one motor at a time. That way I could compare the two, then decide if I want to do the same to the other side. I would try to find a complete used Merc system for the retro. So, I'm looking for success or horror stories of a similar deal.
Thanks,
Steve

Exursion,
I may be interested in them. I'm working on a deal for one set up now. If it falls through?
Still hoping to hear from someone who has actually done this.
Does anyone know from experiance the amount of increased fuel economy?

Wouldn't Tyler Crockett's new EFI work for a retro fit? Then you would also get another 30 HP. Try tomcall him. He is also on this board. I think it was last week he let us know about his new project. Might want to search his name.
