fiberglass sheets

Thinking of making a new raised hatch.Does anyone make or sell sheets of fiberglass about 1/4" thick.I could cut out my patterns and glass it altogether.Then coat and final sand the thing.Just a thought.Thanks JOHN

Use high dens. foam ?! Thats what i would do,,,and bond together with epoxy resin sand and round it all of to where u are happy and then 1 layer of 1808 on each side ,smoth it out again some glass over that ,,,sand again and paint it,,,,thats the best way i know !

In the Printed Circuit Board Industry we use laminated E- Glass Sheets , we use small panels sizes,, but the laminate maker, makes sheets up to 5'x 7' size and then cut them down to sizes that we use. Most are copper clad,, but you can get it unclad as bare laminate. Thickness range from 0.001" up to 0.250". At one time they even made color Laminates. they are also vacuum laminated.

its called fiberboard and it comes on a roll and they cut it too the length you need
