Spent a ton of time in these boats when in the Nav. All I can say.....That thing is jacked up! I love the 3 helms. Never can have too many steering wheels..... or drives for that matter. BTW that outdrives are those??? never seen them before.

the center wheel steers the boat, the other two are training wheels... and if you clip playing cards to the drives, they go wheeeeeeeeeeeerrrrrrrrrrr and make motor boat sounds when the props spin...

Hey Darrel,,,didn't they usually have #3 or 3a's on them ?????

with the big ci motors?

No they had V's. The very early Fountains had 500 Bulldogs(540's) and 3a's ( could be VI's?? been a long time)I believe. But the USMI boats had the Innovations with V's. The 557 Innovations were rated at 620 HP and really nice motors. Early boats had dual carbs on an Offenhauser manifold, later they switched to EFI.
