Would really like full hydro from helm back, 97 active thunder , stock 502mag/bravo 1. think I have about 17.5" from center of drive to swim platform

You are measuring too high. The measurment should be from drive shaft centerline. It appears that the Mayfair, Imco or Zeigler steering kits would be fine.

How about a new set of shift levers with the trim switch,
Purple,dual engine? For a 1991 Active Thunder.
