Default Why do people get so emotional about old boats breaking??

I know this is a little off, but damn. I cannot tell you how often I hear someone say well that boat is a POS, because it breaks every summer. They I ask what boat it is and its a 1980's or early 90's. Then I look over and their driving a 2006 truck, and their like that thing never breaks??? WELL NO CHIT!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I ask them how many 20-25 Year old cars they drive around. Answer almost everytime is, NONE.

Do people just like to ***** or are just that dumb.

You guys think new boats don't break down?

But to answer your question.........it's because they don't have a second boat.

Funny! I often thought about buying a newer boat than what I have. That meant for me having a monthly payment wich I don't have with my old rig, but I tought I then would not have repairs to pay. Turns out many friends I know have 2005 and up model year boat, and... THEY ALSO BREAK!!!!!!

So I thought: what the heck! No payment, cheap on insurance, nobody wants to steal this boat... might as well keep it and pay a couple repairs....

the only difference between new and old is the warranty usually pics up the repair bill that's the only difference besides liking the old one also the newer the more systems the more maintenance, i seem to spend the same amount for repair upgrades per year on 98 and 03 which is now old I guess since it is out of warranty
