Thumbs up Stainless risers and 496 motor cover???

im going for some added bling this year, and id like to find a set of affordable stainless risers that will bolt right on to my 26 checkmate with 496 mag. if i pick up a few HP great, as long as it looks nice and doesnt loose power. also looking for a nice maybe stainless motor cover for the 496. im adding some led's and want some bling.

Why not remove, strip, and polish your existing stainless risers?

that could work as well, think basic paint remover stuff will work? if do a sanding, wet sand and polish?

does anyone make riser only that might pick up a little power? or are stockers good enouph for stock motor?

Your not going to pick up any HP with just a riser swap. If you swaped for some headers they claim up to 40HP but your not going to see any change other than the noise without some other mods. I am sot sure if the stock are stainless or not but ti dress them up you could just powdercoat the stock ones to any color you like.

I've got a red alum. motor cover for the 496. how about 75 bucks?

Does removing the turbulator in between the stock riser and manifold net any HP gains?

Here is another shot CMI's and different covers. F&M Custom Cowlings is where I purchased mine from. Had great service and looks great when you open the hatch.

that looks sharp for sure. i made my order 2 days ago from F&M. ordered the cover, the computer cover and tank cover. also ordered a 4x8 sheet of mirrior stainless for the engine hatch. i will get pics when im all done.
