Thumbs up 496 mag riser question?

ok, i did some searching and im not coming up with a hard answer to my question. the baja boys seem to be the most active and seeing as my old man has a baja, and accually just made an offer on an 08 leftover, i figure you would help a checkmate guy out. lol

heres my question.
im told the 496 mag has a deverter in the riser. im told if the boat stays in the water dont remove it, if the boat is trailerd it should be fine and pick up some power and sound.
ok. im mixed. my boat stays in the water for 2-4 weeks at a time, its salt water evry 2-4 weeks i pull the boat, wash it, flush it, wax it, clean the bildge, bleach the bilge, clean the bottom, wax the bottom etc etc etc.
threw out the time the boat sits, i go out almost every single day after work. me and a couple buddy's go out have a beer and float around, maybe do some racing and head in. every weekend come saturday morning, im gone, i go out and spend the night out and cruz back.
heres the question,
1. should i remove them?
2. if i do, what do i do, replace it with a basic gasket?
3. does it just rip out and go back in and line up again?

any help on this will be great as im looking to pick up a little speed this season and every little bit helps.

also, im looking for stainless rises for the boat. mainly for bling if it picks up a little power great. anyone know an easy bolt on set for the man on a budget?
thanks allot, looking forward to spring. one more month of snowmobileing, then the boat comes out for spring prep, some add on LED lighting, and some add on to the stereo system.
cant wait.

Leave the turbulators in. If you do a search, you will find a couple of different threads on the topic. You already have stainless risers hiding under that black paint. Strip, polish, and enjoy.
