Hi Have a Formula F-303 with 454 Mags and B one's
I would like to do new carbs , manifolds , roller rockers and a cam on each engine would prefer not to do bottom end.
is there a good website for buying tuning parts for 454 mag?
can this be done for a parts cost of about $6,000 U.S a motor
I live in New Zealand and would have to buy and get shipped B/B knowledge is ok but not as great in the U.S also would be looking at props anyone know of a good package I'd like to get around 475hp out of each motor and a prop package that makes really good use of this

i also think about uprading my 454 mags. the best way if you have good engines is to go for 525 sc. it is easy to mount. a few people in this forum wil help you with the parts and they are very familiar with this kind of upgrade.
maybe the problem is very excessive fuel consuption. how much do you pay for gas in New Zealand. in AUSTRIA the gallon is around 4 dollar. (1 Liter= close to 1 Euro)

You can get to 475 and still stay N/A.
425 can be achieved with a simple intake, cam and carb swap plus adding roller rockers. Any more than that will require going to a roller valve train new heads and exhaust.

the S/C option is not really my cup of tea prefer the N/A option as yes the fuel cost will be insane!
in NZ fuel costs at the moment about $1.65 NZ a L or $3.6 US a gallon.
if propped right is high 70mph poss?

That depends. How fast is it with the current 454 mag power???? 100 hp gain per engine is worth about 7-9 mph on the top end.
