Default Question on a Rochester Quadrajet Carburetor

When I looked in my book for a Quadrajet Carb for my 454 Magnum engine, there was 2 different part numbers for a 454 Magnum carburetor. What is the difference on a Quadrajet 454 Magnum Alpha Carburetor and a Quadrajet 454 Magnum Bravo Carburetor. Is it the CFM? I know what a Alpha and Bravo outdrive is, but what is it in a carburetor?
