Question How to patch Kevlar Hull??

I have a 83 Cougar KEVLAR cat hull that has a small linear crack in the back side of the step in the hull. Nothing is structurally unsound where the crack is, just don't want to soak the hull and take chance of letting water in. What can i repair this area with??

Kevlar just turns to a hairy mess when you grind it so you need to be very carefull with it. When I had to fix it on my boat, I painted the Kevlar with epoxy to bind all the hair let it dry and then scuffed up the expoxy. Then laid fiberglass over it.

Glass matting/resin will go straight over the kevlar.Kevlar is just a matting that doesn't soak up resin like chopped strand, biaxial etc.Grind the area back well, acetone then lay over the top.
