Default Exhaust interference

I have a 502 with AFR 305 heads. I am also using a TCM billet alternator/power steering bracket. It keeps the power steering pump on the upper port side location.

Does anyone know what exhaust manifolds will clear the power steering lines? I know headers will clear fine.

My original Eddie Marine ones interfere by about .5". Need new exhaust anyway. Anyone know if the Imco or Stainless Marine manifolds will clear with this combo?

Thanks

I have Imco's and I know I had to shim my pump out slightly. I turned the fitting up or down(I don't remember) to get a little more clearence. Isn't it amazing that for the money we have to pay for these parts you still have to fabricate soooo much!!

When I installed EMI exhaust I had to bend the power steering fitting slightly for clearance. I was told this by Eddie Tech Support after I could not get it to fit. I am not a engine builder but I would think the accessory points should be in a standard position. Howerver I see you have a aftermarket bracket so that may be different.

My stock hoses need replacing. I put an AN fitting and hose end on the pump and that stuck out even further. It looks as if I use stock hose with Imco or use AN fitting/hose with CMI.

Building this engine I've modified so much. Now it's my oil filter mount. Bottom holes on heads are 7/16. TCM oil filter mount 3/8. I hate modifing these expensive parts.

When I added full hydraulic power steering I got my pressure hoses from Warlock Performance Marine. They had a fitting that did not stick out and fit with my gil exhausts. It has a 90 deg turn built into the fitting like a flat electrical plug in. The return line was not an issue. Is your return line in the way??

I have all AN fittings and stainless braided lines on everthing exept the power steering. I could not find a way to clearance with AN fitting. A right angle fitting might work but the other fitting is a slip on.

I have a banjo fitting coming. It is a right angle directly off pump, just like on a brake caliper. This is suppose to remedy clearance problems.

I mocked up a metric adapter fitting and right angle hose end. It still sticks out too far. So far that is inline with bolt. The AFR heads have raised exhaust ports wich may be contributing to the problem. I will post how the banjo fitting fits when it arrives.

I have AFR heads also and my pressure hose from Warlock with the 90 Deg fitting does not interfere.

Here is a pic of the fitting. It is a Banjo as you refer to:
