I got a pair of the newer style XZ's that have the vented cap....
What is the best drive showers for these that make sure to get water on the top sides of the upper unit, not so much on center of the cap? I want the best cooling possible via a drive shower for my new drives... I found a pair on CP performance, anyone have any recomendations? thanks!

Here's just some simple facts and maybe even some myth busting. While u may not have noticed but just about everyone in the country has come up with some new crazy style drive shower. From ten ports on the side to twenty ports on the side. From single pick up -8 hoses to dual -10 hoses, from beautiful contoured tops to ugly boxy looking fabricated hats. But here's the real deal they will "ALL" more than cool your out drives oil cooling needs. Sure one will over cool the other by five degree's, but really the bottom line is they all really work to your outdrives needs. Now the pitfalls are these. Some have water pick ups that face straight forward and cause prop cavitation, While other have a tube for a pick up thats chopped off at a 45 degree angle that doesn't work real good when the out drive is trimmed. But what you should really look at is quality, fit, construction, materials, and lastly value. Don't over pay for a bunch of "Hype" where a guy stock a garden hose under the shower to make it look like Niagara falls. Simply buy a unit the fits your needs. If your going to use the outdrive as a step then get a unit you can step on not a tube style. And lastly buy only a unit made from real 316L stainless steel for a brilliant long lasting finish and so that you don't have corrosion problems. But most of all buy the unit that offers you the best appearance and best value because whether you spend $69.00 bucks or $300.00 bucks they will all meet your needs.
