Default Boat Taxes in Ontario????

Hey Guys, I haven't bought a used boat [in Ontario] for ages, just curious?, in a private sale what taxes do you pay?, I have been told you pay PST on "everything", I have been told you pay PST and GST on the boat, but, just PST on the trailer, and any number of other stories, I am gonna try and get ahold of someone at the MTO to get a straight answer, but, the odds of getting help from a Government agency is pretty slim, any input would be greatly appreciated!

I have also had people tell me you can save a few bucks by being, shall we say "creative" with your bill of sale, but, I would worry that would affect your insurance [when they access what the boat is worth].

Thanks!
Michael

If it was a private sale, there is no GST.
