My dash is currently covered with gel coat. I am in the process of repairing some old tweeter and screw holes and have been following Glassdave's dash repair thread.
I not wanting to pay $600+ to have the area professionally gel coated. I have been doing some reaserch on top side paints as well as how to prep for paint and supply costs seem reasonable. I will be doing the work
The gel coat is a high gloss black and I would like to retain the gloss like gelcoat look. The black does not have to be perfect match since all the dash surface area will be redone.
Can anyone suggest a paint that will help me achieve the results I am looking for.
Thanks,

yep . . . PPG . . . it you want something the really mimics the look and gloss of gel go with DCC single stage Concept. I believe the color number DCC9300. great stuff and can be wet sanded and buffed if necessary.
