Default Anyone want to trade drives? No.6 1:35's for 1:24's

I just purchased a set of No.6 drysumps 1:35 ratio with 2 hours on them. I need 1:24 ratio. I was thinking, rather then going to the expense of changing gears in relatively new drives, maybe someone is in the same boat and needs 1:35's. If you have any interest, please let me know. Why would you give up the acceleration?

Maybe your Skater is running too hard in the Poker Runs for top speed. I will bet they are looking for more speed.

I would think that boat is plenty fast with the 1.35's, 1.24's will only give you maybe another 8mph, for the expense of changing gears, buying new props and losing some accerleration and midrange punch, unless you just want to run a big number

I think 1.29 is the way to go!

a 41 hering with the 1.35's at 7k should be at least 180..... not fast enough I guess

I want to lower the RPMs at cruise. Rught now I have 40P herings and I'm on the rev limiter very quickly. I have no options. If i go to 1:24 I have all the options in the world, i can put on a 37 or 38 props and have tons of accel. or I can throw on a big prop and get high numbers. I would love to be able to cruise at 120 and be at 4k rather then 5k. Less wear and tear on everything and also much less fuel consumption.

I run 1.24 gears. I do not enjoy spinning engines 7000 rpm.
