I posted this in antother thread but the drives go down but none of the switches work to bring them back up. Where would the stop.limit switch/button be if it even has one? The switches dont engage anything...def. an electrical issue.

do they come up with the trailer switch? if no then it sounds like a relay problem, if it's both drives then have you had any wiring unplugged? maybe you have gotten the limit switch connectors mixed up with the indicator wiring or even the low drive oil connector.

Are we talking bravo drives here? if so there is a limit switch for trim built into one side of the drive and a sender for position on the other.

Another thing I have seen is that the wedge/spacer that goes behind the stud that slides through the back of the drive is put in on the wrong side causing a big change in the amount of trim available

They went up fine a month ago....none of the drive switches will work....not even the trailer one. Both relays or solenoids would go at once?

you will need to start at the trim switches with a circuit tester. Check all your ground connections at the dash and the trim motors.

do you hear the trim pump turn on? If so check your fluid levels.

but since both are doing the same thing Wobble is correct in the get out the test light.
Start at the switches see if you have voltage before then after the switch when it is actuated. If you do then go and check it at the pump. Have you checked any breakers or fuses in the circuit?

Sounds like electrical. Did you check to see if the battery is dead or very low? Twin engines have two seperate systems and wiring and you have two switches (plus the trailer switch) that do not work. What are the odds of all failing at once? I doubt it is limit switches. follow the wiring. I would start at the pumps to see if the solinoids are even being activated in the up. Look for the blue wires on the pump.

Thanks alot guys......There is power to the pumps, i will check the blue one now. The pumps do not even come on when I hit the switch so I dont think its fluid. Shouldnt be a switch either if they work down, right? I'm at a loss

Just short the pump conections and see if they work.
If they do then its the cable going from up switch to the pump.

I second that. There should be a round rubber 3 prong connector going into the pumps. pull that out, get a jumper wire, touch the wire from Red (hot) should be on the bottom to the green or blue. the drive should move when you jump the pins.

if its an early setup, make sure the boats in neuteral, happenned to me earlier this year on my fishing boat. trim switches wont work unless the boat is in neuteral.
