Default prop slip

hey guys
i know this might be a stupid question but
is there an acceptable prop slip number for a v hull
and why

The acrage slip on a V hull is 12-14 %

I did see 8 % but very selden !

33 PP have 8-10 but like i said avrage is 12-14 !!

8-10% excellent
10-12% very good
12-14% good
14-16% ok

It also depends on the boat. My 28 pantera was about 16-18%. Large, heavy boat for single engine. I'm sure the higher slip number helped keep the drive happier though as well.
