Kreed, you can't make a post like that w/o posting pics!

Just need a bigger motor!
Having worked on a twin 27 Carrera I can tell you its harder to work on them.
I would take the single myself unless I did a lot of offshore running.

Hello Stormrider-
Yes ,that is my boat. I bought it last June. I sold that engine in November and the new 540 will be done by the end of this weekend. Then off to the dyno. I love this boat. The previous owner did a great job. I also re-did the cockpit seats and the cuddy couches and bed. It needed to be updated.

Kreed, i've been boatless for too long.
And no end in sight.
IMO, your boat was a great buy!
If you go back thru old threads, you'd see that.

dont forget to post more pics.

Finished the 540 motor for my Carrera. Dyno'ed on Friday. Made 685 HP and 695 Ft LBS torque. Thats through 4" flowmasters and on 93 octane gas. Boat went 63 MPH with 450 HP last year, looking for at least 70 this year. With any luck , will be making test passes on Sunday!!!!!

Nice! let us know how it goes.
you don't think a 50% HP increase w/ yield more than 7mph?
