Default Looking for some help

I have a lead on buying a used Imco set back box. This one is not the standard type of extention box this one is like the Land and Sea Sternjack. Yes ,Imco manufactured this several years ago. I would really like to purchase this because unlike the Sternjack the Imco unit has provisions to use my existing hydralic steering.
The problem is the Imco unit is set up for a standard Bravo 1 u-joint, well I run a XR drive which has bigger u-joints that don't work with the Imco unit. What I need is a combination u-joint that has both the standard Bravo size and the XR size. I have called locally and haven't been able to find anything.

The sizes of the u-joints are:

Bravo 1 Merc part #75832T1
cap diameter 1.078" cap to cap 3.232"

XR Merc part #862132T
cap diameter 1.329" cap to cap 3.447"

both have internal clips.

Any suggestions would be helpful.

You might want to go to a Merc site and look up service bulletin # 2000-08. It has to do with putting a xr drive on a bravo I t plate. I don't know if this applies in your case but have a look. It might save you some trouble. I would scan it for you but can't at this time.

You might think this sounds silly but try your local NAPA. I`ve bought Ujoints in uneven sizes before with hot rod projects.

Hey Chuck,
Have you given a call to Joint Clutch and Gear? They may be able to help. They are in Warren. They helped me out on a similar problem on a Hot Rod project.
