Default 34' Scarab

I just bought a 34' Scarab Super Sport with 454's. Never seen one. Had to get it. Anyway, I have a few questions for the infinite knowledge pool here. It is a 90 model, 800 hours. Excellent shape. I will post some pics soon.

What kind of fuel consumption can i expect from a twin 454 scarab?

What speeds?

Any issues anybody knows about I should look for?

Thanks
Andy

Just the ad. Wished I looked at it last month when I was local to it. Very cool boat, and have only seen 4 others. Looked very clean. Congrats.

Comes from a generation of underpowered boats. Great hull, fast lines. With 800 hours, needs a repower. Looking forward to the pics. love the old school Wellcrafts.

Already had one engine redone 100hrs ago, other one is getting done right now. I have four kids and have been going between a go-fast a cruiser and a center console. The only problem i always had with the cc is the outboards. Go fast was not enough room, cruiser tooooo slow. This is perfect, fast enough with 4 kids in it, plenty of room, and still fish if i want to.

When it gets out of the mechanic I will post some pics.

Have the same struggles. we have a Scarab Sport. Outboards have been very reliable (knock on wood). Cabin is small, but serves it's purpose. Next boat will go faster with decent cabin. told her if she wants a cabin cruiser, get a gay friend. Ha.
