Question Any Volvo Penta Diesel Dealers/Mechanics?

I have a 460 Sea Ray with Volvo TAMD73P-A diesels. I guess I cratered one of the diesels last year I hear they no longer make long blocks of this engine. Anyone know if they make new engines or cost of a rebuild?

I found a complete overhaul kit from Volvo for $6000. That includes the turbo and injectors.

I understand there is labor involved to pull the engine, rebuild, and re-install the engine. BUT am I wrong or does the $60,000 estimate sound a little high?

Haha, no kidding. The repairs to it were pennies compared to the Ray! Oh well, chit happens to all of us. It'll be good as new when it's done.

CJ is coming in town tonight for the weekend as well, so if you decide to get out, we'll be around!
