Default Formula Jr. story

Yesterday someone came by the shop and talked to Dano. He was maybe in his mid 80's,impeccably dressed with suit and tie, wanted to know if we had a U-joint bellows for a 1965 Volvo. Dano told him no but we could get him one overnight. He looked around and saw a Formula poster, and casually mentioned his boat was a Formula.Dano asked him what model, expecting maybe an old cruiser or Flipper boat, and he said Formula Jr. Wow!He bought it new in 1964 a 1965 model with Holman-Moody small block Ford.Ran it only a few times, stored in his basement, noticed the bellows had dry rotted.Had not run it in years. He said the boat was same as new.Knowing I would be interested,Dano asked would he considered selling. He said no,his wish was to be buried in it! Not too many boat brands give their owners this kind of passion. Just wanted to share a neat story. Robert

Most Formula owners are already "burried" in their boats!!!

Neat story though.

I agree a neat story. Just remember, when I die, tell Samantha to put me in shorts and aim the Beak south. I've had it with this North Country winter chit.

Great story. Can you get a picture of the boat?
