Default need to move a 38' Scarab Listed in classified

1996/2009 Scarab 38, This boat has two brand new Mercury Racing 525SC Blower motors with zero hours (yes, zero). They got the MSD, Hydraulic Cams, Roller-Rockers, fresh rebuilt blowers; bypass cooling system (75% all new parts). This boat also comes with custom build Bravo XR Drives from Max Machine Worx with zero hours on them, turned by a 32 pitch Bravo 1 4-blade SS. The boat has all new Auto Meter blue Gauges, with matching steering wheel, all new wiring harness, all new cables, just rebuilt the transom and much much more. This is like a brand new 2009 boat, TURN KEY ALL DAY LONG. I have all the receipts to show what I spent on rebuilding this boat. The boat sits on a three axle trailer, which is in a great condition as well. What I have paid in parts and labor to do all these modifications are over $80,000.00, not including the boat or the trailer. I will entertain REASONABLE offers. Unfortunately for me, I am going through tough economic times and I can no longer afford to keep her. My loss, your gain. Make an offer! Joe 310 460-6646

Yep,
I have a 98 38' Scarab that had 600 SCs originally. The 502s were transformed into 540s. They now produce between 750HP - 800HP. I am still running 28" 4 blades.

John, what drives are you running? XR's or Bravos? And what speeds do you get out of them? I cannot seem to break over 5000 RPM and about 75 MPH. (w/XRs' fully trimmed). I assume with 750-800 RPM you can hit 5300-5400 and about 82-83-'ish correct? I also think we spoke about this a couple of yars ago when I first got my boat and you said you tried 2" shorties with 1" spacers (1" shorter total). Mike
P.S. sorry to hijack this thread

OUCH! Blasted by a Formula guy on a Scarab thread started by a Baja guy ! Sorry, oh btw maybe his XRs' are 2.0 Ratio??? then even 700hp modified 525 SCs' could attain,say... 75 mph. I'm sorry, but back when I had my 7.4 lx powered 22' Scarab it went 64MPH....PERIOD. Then I would see people out there claim that their 22' 300hp (7.4LX) would go"75+MPH" b.s.-b.s.-b.s. I am just trying to be realistic . Maybe Empire0007 is only going by what he has heard and is selling the boat for someone else. I wish him good luck with the sale. It is a very nice looking boat with a nice engine package (the same my boat originally came with). It is a tough market out there,I know, and a tough economy, for sure.....Mike
P.S. Not trying to get under anyones skin.
